The Oleh Antonov State Aviation Museum received grant support from ICOM Japan

 After undergoing a rigorous competitive selection process, the O.K. Antonov State Aviation Museum received a grant of UAH 454,427.00 from ICOM Japan, the national committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), as part of the “Culture Unites: Museums of Japan – Museums of Ukraine” program. This targeted charitable assistance will be used for restoration, which is essential for the further preservation of the museum's collection.

The initiative was launched on International Museum Day 2025 as a sign of solidarity and support from the global museum community.

The ICOM Japan National Committee, with the support of the Japan Museum Association, raised 29,624,390.00 yen to provide assistance to Ukrainian museums affected by Russia's armed aggression.

We are now actively working on the restoration of our unique exhibits with the expert support of ICOM Ukraine, and we will soon delight all aviation enthusiasts with our first results within this project.
